The thriving film market offers many training programs for young people with a passion for creativity. |
The wave of development of the film industry opens up great opportunities for young people to quickly grasp and participate in the industry. With the increasing demand for high-quality filmmaking human resources, not only in Vietnam but also in the region.
This creates great momentum for the development of film training majors at universities, while also bringing open career prospects to young Vietnamese people.
From Studio Dreams to Global Vision
Currently, most young people who are passionate about pursuing a career in filmmaking often have to look for short-term courses that only focus on basic skills, without paying attention to systematicity, management, depth of creative thinking, and the ability to work professionally in an international environment.
To address this gap and meet market demand, British University Vietnam (BUV) has developed the Bachelor of Film and Media Production program, designed with an international orientation, closely integrating a solid academic foundation and comprehensive practical experience.

The program aims to equip students with management skills, expanding opportunities to rise to leadership positions in the international film industry. |
The core difference of the program comes from its comprehensive approach: each student is not only trained in technical skills in each stage of the production process, but is also equipped with strategic thinking, project leadership and production team management capabilities – vital factors to excel in an increasingly competitive industry.
In an international training environment taught entirely in English, students will learn to think like a global producer: knowing how to balance artistic creativity and commercial factors, knowing how to use data and technology to expand creative space, and knowing how to operate projects on a regional and international scale.
The program creates opportunities for students not only to enter the domestic labor market, but also to become potential candidates in international media corporations, global production studios, or even start their own creative businesses. In addition, students also have the opportunity to expand their employment opportunities through real-life projects, internships, business visits and meetings with leading experts, thereby helping young people to be ready to enter the industry with a professional portfolio, strategic thinking and a globally recognized British degree.
Dr Paul DJ Moody, Head of the School of Media & Creativity at BUV, said: “Vietnam is a young, dynamic market of 100 million people, with strong growth potential in the film and media production sector. The aim of the programme at BUV is to train a new generation of creatives who are capable of playing a key role in the Vietnamese market, Southeast Asia and beyond on an international scale.”
