Celebrating the 40th anniversary of the establishment of Tam Vinh commune.

From 1945 to the present, Tam Vinh commune has undergone several mergers, divisions, and changes in administrative boundaries, with various names: Thanh Minh commune, Ky Thinh commune, Ky Quy commune, and merger into Tam Dan commune. On April 12, 1985, Tam Vinh commune was established based on the division of Tam Dan commune. On December 21, 2009, Tam Vinh commune's administrative boundaries were adjusted to establish Phu Thinh town according to Government Resolution No. 62.

Throughout history, Tam Vinh has been a land rich in revolutionary and cultural traditions. During the resistance wars, the Party Committee, the army, and the people of Tam Vinh always remained resilient and courageous, upholding revolutionary heroism in combat and in support of the war effort. In recognition of the immense contributions of the army and people of the commune, the Party and State awarded Tam Vinh the title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces in 2003.

In 2015, Tam Vinh was recognized by the province as a New Rural Commune (NRC). Currently, Tam Vinh is assessed as meeting the NRC standards for the 2021-2025 period, with two villages achieving model NRC status. The average per capita income at the end of 2023 reached 56.43 million VND/person/year, more than double the income in 2015.

Along with economic development, the commune has also focused on investing in and effectively implementing many aspects in the socio-cultural field. Care for policy beneficiaries, war veterans, and social welfare has been ensured, with the poverty rate reduced to 2.49%. The quality of education at all levels has improved. Primary healthcare for the people has been prioritized, with universal health insurance coverage reaching 99.7%...

With the above achievements, in 2023, the Provincial People's Committee awarded the title of "Outstanding Labor Collective" to the commune's officials and civil servants, and presented the Emulation Flag for outstanding achievements in work to the people and officials of Tam Vinh commune. During the period 2023-2025, Tam Vinh commune and Phu Thinh town will merge to form a new administrative unit.
