At the ceremony, delegates reviewed the glorious tradition of 50 years of establishment, growth and development of the Vietnam Forest Protection Force. For the provincial Forest Protection Department, since its establishment, it has gone through 6 periods of change in organization and operation. Currently, the Forest Protection Department's apparatus has been streamlined to improve effectiveness and efficiency, including: 11 Forest Protection Departments at district and city levels, 1 Mobile Forest Protection and Forest Fire Prevention and Fighting Team, 2 Special-use Forest Protection Departments, 4 specialized departments, 22 Forest Protection Stations under the Forest Protection Department. The entire sector has nearly 230 civil servants and employees; of which, university and postgraduate qualifications account for 88.5%; political theory qualifications from intermediate level and above account for 40%.

Promoting the core role in the cause of forest management, protection and development, the KL force has actively advised the People's Committees at the same level to implement the zoning plan of 3 types of forests; the functional zoning plan of special-use forests; well-organized and implemented many policies and mechanisms in forest management and protection (FMP), changing people's awareness of forest management, FMP, economic forest planting, improving the lives of forest workers. Up to now, the whole province has over 576,000 hectares of forest and forestry land (of which the forested area is over 464,000 hectares, the rest is non-forested area). From 2021 to now, the whole province has planted 12.8/19.7 million new trees, reaching 64.9%; Planted 6,017/13,560 hectares of forest after exploitation, reaching 45% of the target of Resolution 16 of the Provincial Party Committee on sustainable forestry development, period 2021 - 2025. In addition, the forestry sector has actively transformed digitally, applied information technology to support management and forest protection work; contributing to increasing the forest cover rate of the whole province to 58.58%.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duc Quy and Deputy Director of the Vietnam Forest Protection Department Nguyen Quoc Hieu praised, shared joy and congratulated the great achievements, outstanding growth and glorious traditions that generations of leaders, cadres, civil servants and workers of the forest protection sector have strived to achieve over the past 50 years. They requested the forest protection sector to continue to synchronously, resolutely and effectively implement management and forest protection solutions according to Directive 13 of the Party Central Committee Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership in forest management, protection and development. Raise awareness, responsibility, public ethics, promote the spirit of setting an example for the contingent of cadres and civil servants, especially leading and managing civil servants. Resolutely remove from the sector cadres and civil servants who violate the law and public ethics to build an increasingly clean and strong force in all aspects.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Duc Quy requested the Forestry Department to: Continue to advise on the effective implementation of policies and mechanisms to support forest protection and development; promote the application of information technology in management and forest protection with specialized software to free up labor, solve the problem of labor shortage due to the implementation of the policy of streamlining the payroll to contribute to the effective implementation of assigned management, forest protection and forestry land tasks. At the same time, promote forest allocation and leasing associated with land allocation and leasing; resolutely reclaim forests from forest owners who do not fulfill their obligations to protect forests, causing forest loss...

At the ceremony, 1 collective and 3 individuals with outstanding achievements in their work, contributing to the building and development of a strong Vietnamese forest protection force were honored to receive Certificates of Merit from the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. 3 collectives and 48 individuals with outstanding achievements in implementing the emulation movement "Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnamese forest protection force" were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Director General of the General Department of Forestry and the Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
