The films will be a mix of original and franchise material starring Tom Cruise, Warner Bros. Discovery said in a statement. It is part of a new “strategic partnership.” Cruise and his production company will have offices at the Warner Bros. Discovery property in Burbank, California.

However, Warner Bros. Discovery hopes that the box office star can create a series of blockbusters and attractive sequels, raising the profile of Warner Bros. Discovery.
A decade ago, Tom Cruise worked at Warner Bros. when he appeared in Edge of Tomorrow . He has starred in Warner Bros. films such as Magnolia , Rock of Ages , Interview With the Vampire and Eyes Wide Shut . Warner Bros. also gave Cruise his breakthrough role in the comedy Risky Business .

Most recently, Tom Cruise appeared in Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and Top Gun: Maverick - the biggest success of his career.
