According to the announcement of Agriculture Minister Askarbek Janybekov, during the visit, the two presidents will discuss issues such as opening a Kyrgyz embassy in Mongolia, restoring direct flights and strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.
Mongolia established diplomatic relations with Kyrgyzstan in 1992 and citizens of both countries can travel visa-free for 90 days. In 2017, Mongolia opened an embassy in the capital Bishkek.
On the Kyrgyz side, the Kyrgyz Embassy in China also serves Mongolia.
Former President of Kyrgyzstan Askar Akayev visited Mongolia in 1993 and 2002. Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev arrive Ulaanbaatar in May 2023.
Last month, President Sadyr Japarov signed a decree on the establishment of a Kyrgyz embassy in Mongolia.
According to AKI Press news agency, the decision is aimed at ensuring further development of political , trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural relations between the two countries.
