Lac Duong: Meeting with former district leaders on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Lam Dong Liberation Day

(LĐ online) - On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Lam Dong - Da Lat (April 3, 1975 - April 3, 2025), towards the 50th anniversary of the complete Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), on the afternoon of April 1, the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lac Duong district organized a meeting with former district leaders of different periods who are living in Lac Duong district and Da Lat city.

At the meeting, Comrade Tran Thi Chuc Quynh - Secretary of the District Party Committee read a speech reviewing the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of Lam Dong Province. She emphasized: This is an opportunity to review the process of formation, construction, development and the heroic history of revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in the province.

Along with Lam Dong province, Lac Duong district is an important locality in the Southern Central Highlands. During the resistance war against American imperialism, the ethnic people of Lac Duong district wholeheartedly followed the Party and the revolution, sheltered and supported many revolutionary cadres, provided food and ammunition, fought and served in combat, protected the revolutionary base area, and protected the headquarters of Tuyen Duc province.

Lac Duong has the heroic Da Chais base commune, which steadfastly held its ground and provided manpower and resources for the revolution. The Party and State awarded the noble title of Hero of the People's Armed Forces to the cadres and people of Da Chais commune.

Over the past 50 years of national reunification, the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in Lac Duong district have wholeheartedly believed in the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam , promoted the tradition of solidarity, steadfastness and indomitability, overcome all difficulties and challenges, fought to disintegrate the reactionary organization FULRO and the "peaceful evolution" plot of hostile forces, protected the achievements of the revolution, worked hard in production and labor, implemented settlement, developed the socio-economy, and built the district increasingly strong.

Up to now, the growth rate of production value (GO) has increased by 19.54%; production value per unit area has reached 437 million VND/ha/year; total state budget revenue in the period of 2020 - 2025 has reached 1,102 billion VND, an average increase of 17.97%/year; the poverty rate has decreased by an average of 2.83%/year; average income per capita has reached 61.94 million VND/person/year; forest coverage has reached 85.04%; 5/5 communes have met new rural standards and 2 communes have met advanced new rural standards; national defense and security have been ensured; Party building, rectification and the fight against corruption, negativity and waste have achieved many important results, and people's trust in the Party has been increasingly consolidated and strengthened.

On behalf of the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the district, the Secretary of the Lac Duong District Party Committee respectfully thanked the valuable contributions and dedication of generations of district leaders through the periods to the development of Lac Duong district. At the same time, he hoped that former district leaders would continue to contribute their intelligence and constantly share their experiences for the development of the locality.

Also at the meeting, Comrade Bui The - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee informed the former leaders of the district about the socio -economic situation, ensuring national defense and security in the first quarter of 2025 and the tasks in the coming time. Including the arrangement, organization of the apparatus and the plan to merge communes and towns in the district when there is no longer a district level.
