Hung Yen City Electricity staff promote safe electricity use in schools

Regular propaganda activities contribute to raising awareness among people and businesses in purchasing low-power devices, applying renewable energy solutions in daily life and production, maintaining the habit of turning off electrical devices when not in use, contributing to saving electricity. Using electrical devices at an appropriate and effective level not only serves the purpose of people but also contributes to reducing the risk of electrical incidents, avoiding high electricity bills.

To effectively implement that, the electricity industry recommends that customers and people continue to pay attention to practicing electricity saving according to Directive No. 20/CT-TTg, dated May 7, 2020 of the Prime Minister such as: Taking advantage of and mobilizing resources to install and use rooftop solar power systems, solar water heating systems to reduce electricity consumption from the national power system; promoting the application of solar energy solutions for equipment serving advertising, decoration, and public lighting purposes; regularly implementing economical and efficient electricity use at home such as: Turning off electrical equipment when leaving the room, completely cutting off the power source if not using electrical equipment; prioritizing the purchase of high-efficiency electrical equipment and vehicles or electrical equipment with energy labels that achieve high efficiency levels; minimizing the use of incandescent light bulbs...

Mr. Do Xuan Hai, Head of Sales Department (Hung Yen Electricity Company) said: According to forecasts, the severe heat will continue in the coming days, the demand for electricity will continue to increase. To use electricity safely, economically and effectively during the hot season, people need to turn off electrical equipment when not needed; set the air conditioner to cool at 26 degrees Celsius or higher; do not use many high-capacity electrical equipment at the same time, especially during peak hours; make the most of sunlight and natural ventilation to reduce electricity costs as well as contribute to ensuring the stable and safe operation of the power system, serving production and people's daily life.
