Spreading traffic safety culture among youth in the Army

This is an activity within the implementation chain of Plan No. 267/KH-CT dated May 6, 2025 of the Political Department (Academy of Military Economics) on strengthening the dissemination and education of law for youth of the Academy, welcoming the Conference summarizing the work of the Youth Union and youth movement for the period 2022-2025.

Right from the beginning of the program, the conference atmosphere spread the spirit of seriousness, responsibility and solidarity, typical of the military environment. The representative of the Organizing Committee emphasized: "Young people of the Military Technical Academy must not only study well and train well, but also be pioneers in complying with the law, military discipline and building a healthy traffic culture. This is a concrete expression of the character and personality of future engineering officers."

The event not only helps union members and young people grasp legal knowledge, but also forms a sense of self-awareness and civic responsibility when participating in traffic, contributing to creating the image of civilized and exemplary young soldiers in the eyes of the community.

The program's reporter, Captain, Master Pham Tien Tai, Officer of the People's Police Academy, brought a lively, easy-to-understand, and practical talk. With a friendly style and specific examples, he helped students deeply understand the relationship between military discipline and traffic safety culture.

“Traffic safety is not only a legal regulation, but also a manifestation of a culture of discipline. A technical soldier, whether in the barracks or in society, must demonstrate standards in every action, word and behavior when participating in traffic,” Captain, Master Pham Tien Tai emphasized.

He also pointed out that, according to statistics from the National Traffic Safety Committee, more than 60% of serious traffic accidents involve people under 35 years old, mainly due to lack of awareness, speeding, use of alcohol and electronic devices while driving. For young soldiers, compliance with traffic discipline is not only a personal responsibility but also a measure of the quality, honor and image of the Academy.

During the discussion, many students asked questions about how to handle real-life situations when encountering traffic accidents, the reporting process, supporting victims, or behaviors that should be avoided to avoid violating the law. The reporter shared specific information, combined with instructions on first aid skills and self-protection skills when participating in training, research, and technical construction activities.

“Young people of the Military Technical Academy are the vanguard force. You not only need to understand the law but also live by it, turning safety awareness into a daily habit. When every action comes from a spirit of discipline, society will be safer and traffic will be more civilized,” Captain Pham Tien Tai affirmed.

Not only learning to know, the youth of the Academy have been turning the spirit of law propaganda into models of self-management of traffic safety, exemplary youth teams and internal communication activities, spreading the spirit of "saying no to traffic violations" in the unit.

The propaganda session ended in a serious but warm atmosphere. The representative of the Organizing Committee expressed the hope that after the conference, each student will become a "legal propagandist", contributing to spreading the cultural values of discipline, safety and responsibility to society. Discipline is the strength of the army and also the root of traffic culture. The Academy hopes that each youth union member will bring that spirit of iron discipline into life, so that wherever there are technical soldiers, there will be a civilized, orderly and safe image.

The conference left a strong impression, not only by the numbers or slogans, but also by the serious learning spirit, receptive attitude and sense of responsibility of the youth of the Military Technical Academy.
