On September 17, Tuoi Tre Online recorded that in Sa Dec flower village (Sa Dec ward, Dong Thap province), ornamental flower businesses and farmers are busy producing flowers for the 2026 Tet crop. Many households said that they have planted about 70% of the area early, to supply for the New Year and the 2nd Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Festival scheduled to be held during the New Year holiday week.

Mr. Dang Thanh Long - a member of the Tan An Ornamental Flower Cooperative, Sa Dec Ward - said that he has planted about 2,000 ^{square meters} of chrysanthemums and roses. The weather is rainy but quite favorable, and the raspberries are setting seeds quite well.

"I expect to sell about 15,000 baskets of chrysanthemums and roses this year for Tet, about 5,000 more than last year. Because there is a flower festival this year, I will plant a few more to sell to tourists, " said Mr. Long.

According to the representative of the Tan An Ornamental Flower Cooperative, Sa Dec Ward, the entire cooperative has 11 members producing an area of ​​3 hectares, equivalent to about 200,000 flower baskets of all kinds, an increase of 50,000 baskets compared to the same period last year. Of which, 50% of the quantity are chrysanthemums of all kinds, traditional raspberry chrysanthemums about 4,000 baskets, colored raspberry chrysanthemums about 30,000 baskets.

Currently, the chrysanthemum has been planted for nearly 2 months, the gardener hired more workers to cut the tops to create a spherical shape and develop branches to increase the number of flowers.

According to the Economic , Infrastructure and Urban Department of Sa Dec ward, Sa Dec flower village has currently planted about 38 hectares out of a total of 100 hectares of ornamental flowers to serve the 2026 Tet market, equivalent to about 1.2 million flower baskets of all kinds.

The number of orders for the 2nd Sa Dec Ornamental Flower Festival alone is over 300,000 baskets. Including flowers: traditional raspberries, colored raspberry chrysanthemums, pico chrysanthemums, coconut vegetables, firecrackers, toadstools, tiger chrysanthemums... 137,000 baskets of roses.
