| Due to heavy rain during the night and early morning of November 3, the Phu Mau bridge collapsed, cutting off the old Nam Dong district from the outside. |
Previously, during the recent floods, this road was continuously eroded, many sections were impassable. At the intersection between La Son - Tuy Loan highway and the road to Khe Tre, heavy erosion isolated the three communes of Nam Dong, Khe Tre and Long Quang.
Authorities have temporarily cleared the area and opened a section of road for traffic. However, heavy rains on November 2 and early morning of November 3 continued to cause landslides, damage at the intersection and collapse of Phu Mau bridge, causing the Nam Dong area including the three communes of Khe Tre, Nam Dong, and Long Quang to be cut off once again.
Currently, the local government and the city's Department of Construction have received the information and will check and fix it. For now, the functional units have placed warning signs for people to limit movement through the dangerous area.
