Lang Son sets record import-export turnover of nearly 74 billion USD

These days, the atmosphere at Lang Son province's international border gates is always bustling from early morning until late at night. At its peak, there are over 2,000 import-export trucks passing through each day. Of which, agricultural products have increased sharply, reflecting a clear recovery in trade activities in the last months of the year.

Over the past 10 months, the total import-export turnover through Lang Son province's border gates reached nearly 74 billion USD, an increase of more than 44% over the same period last year. This is the highest import-export turnover through Lang Son province ever. This result comes from the effective operation of specialized customs clearance routes, along with a series of solutions to improve infrastructure and logistics procedures.

Not only has customs clearance time been shortened from 8-10 hours to 3-4 hours, helping businesses reduce costs, but another important driving force is that border gate infrastructure is being synchronously activated: expanding the Huu Nghi - Tan Thanh transit yard, applying digital technology in management, creating new growth space for import and export.

Mr. Dinh Trung Kien - Deputy Director of the Border Gate Management Center, Dong Dang Border Gate Management Board, Lang Son said: "Recently, the volume of imported and exported goods through the border gates has increased thanks to our investment in expanding the wharf and applying digital technology in management, aiming at sustainable import and export in the province".

The growth figures and the images of forces working around the clock at the border gate show the efforts to maintain a smooth trade flow, while affirming the role of Lang Son - the most dynamic foreign economic gateway in the Northern region, contributing significantly to the growth of the country's trade turnover this year.
