The Prime Minister approved the Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province.

Specifically, the Prime Minister approved the election results for the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Lang Son province for the 2021-2026 term for Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

This Decision comes into force from the date of signing and promulgation (October 24, 2025).

Previously, at the meeting of the People's Council of Lang Son province on the afternoon of October 20, 2025, Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% of the delegates in attendance approving. He assumed the new position to replace Mr. Ho Tien Thieu who retired.

* Mr. Nguyen Canh Toan was born on March 25, 1976, hometown: Quynh Phu commune, Nghe An province; advanced degree in political theory; master's degree in Human Resource Management; master's degree in Public Administration Management; bachelor's degree in Economic Law; bachelor's degree in Public Administration; bachelor's degree in Finance - Banking.

Before becoming Deputy Head of the Organization - Personnel Department (Central Economic Committee), Mr. Toan worked for a long time at the State Audit, from the position of specialist to Deputy Head of the Organization, Payroll, and Salary Department, then studied abroad in Australia.

After half a year of secondment to assist the Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, in October 2018, Mr. Toan became Head of the Personnel Department and then Vice Chairman of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises. From February 2025, he became Deputy Secretary of the Lang Son Provincial Party Committee.
