(QBĐT) - During a working trip to attend the Forum on Trade, Investment and Tourism Cooperation to promote the "East-West Economic Corridor and CLV Development Triangle"; Vietnam-Laos-Cambodia-Thailand Exhibition Fair in Champasak province (Laos), on the afternoon of April 9, comrade Phan Phong Phu, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and the working delegation visited the Association of Vietnamese People in Champasak province.
Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Dong Cong Dung, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Champasak province, and members of the Executive Committee of the association.

The Vietnamese community in Champasak province currently has 1,100 households with 4,780 people, including migrants who were born and raised here; people who come to work and live at Dao Huong market and workers of enterprises.
During the visit, the delegation listened to the President of the Association of Vietnamese People in Champasak Province, Dong Cong Dung, report on the formation and development process of the Vietnamese community in Champasak Province, and the contributions of the Association and the Vietnamese community to the socio-economic development of Champasak Province.

On behalf of the Association's leaders, Mr. Dong Cong Dung thanked the attention and support of the Party and Government of Quang Binh province for the Association of Vietnamese in Champasak province in the past time through supporting books, notebooks, and learning tools to serve the learning of Vietnamese for children; receiving children to study at training facilities in Quang Binh province as well as inviting and welcoming the Association's working delegation to visit Quang Binh province in 2023.
Speaking at the visit, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Phong Phu informed the Association of Vietnamese in Champasak province about the socio-economic development of Quang Binh province in recent times, especially the rapid recovery and development after the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated the development of the Vietnamese community in Champasak province; the contributions of the Association and the Vietnamese community here to the socio-economic development of the province.
He hoped that in the coming time, the Vietnamese community in Champasak province would promote the spirit of solidarity to continue developing and making worthy contributions to Champasak province; at the same time, organize many meaningful activities towards the homeland, acting as a bridge to contribute to strengthening the friendly and cooperative relations between Quang Binh province and Champasak province.
