In order to promote tourism development and effectively deploy and implement the domestic tourism stimulus program with the theme "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam - Vietnam I love" to welcome the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the 2024 summer tourist season, on April 26, the Provincial People's Committee issued Document No. 2147/UBND-VX on the implementation of domestic tourism stimulus content in 2024.
Accordingly, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the provincial departments, branches and sectors; People's Committees of districts, towns and cities to continue to effectively implement the Prime Minister's Directive on comprehensive, rapid and sustainable tourism development in Lao Cai province to promote tourism development with the motto: "Unique products - professional services - convenient and simple procedures - competitive prices - clean and beautiful environment - safe, civilized and friendly destinations"; implement investment promotion, trade and tourism promotion activities in Lao Cai province in 2024; strengthen management of tourism activities during the April 30 and May 1 holidays in 2024.
The Department of Tourism presides over and coordinates with relevant agencies and units in the tourism sector, the Provincial Tourism Association to implement domestic tourism stimulus activities with specific content, new tourism programs to increase tourists' experiences, diversify products and improve service quality, organize programs to introduce destinations, link tourism development; launch the program "Vietnamese people travel to Vietnam - Vietnam I love" in Lao Cai province to ensure effectiveness and practicality; strengthen comprehensive state management of tourism in the province, and promote civilized behavior at tourist areas and spots.
In addition, the Department of Tourism promptly inspects, detects, prevents and strictly handles violations of the law in the tourism sector; mobilizes and encourages tourism businesses in the area to participate in tourism stimulus programs; guides, monitors and urges businesses to seriously implement and ensure service quality when participating in tourism stimulus programs. The Department of Tourism regularly inspects and controls the quality of tourism services and stimulus programs implemented in the province; is the focal point for statistics and reporting the results of stimulus program implementation to the Provincial People's Committee and the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (through the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism).
The People's Committees of districts, towns and cities widely inform about the operating hours of tourist areas, destinations, tourism products and services in the area to be ready to attract tourists during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the 2024 summer tourist season. At the same time, develop and complete regulations and guidelines to ensure security, safety, a clean and civilized environment for tourism activities, tourists, workers and local communities...
