According to the approved planning, in phase 1, Long Thanh International Airport will invest in the construction and put into operation 4 hangars (aircraft hangars) on land lot E01 with an area of 182,029 m2.

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has just sent an official dispatch to Vietnam Airlines; Vietnam Aircraft Engineering Company Limited (VAECO), Vietjet , Vietstar Aviation Engineering Joint Stock Company (Vietstar), Vietravel Airlines, Bamboo Aviation Joint Stock Company (Bamboo), Southern Airports Aircraft Maintenance Services Company Limited (SAAM), Aviation Engineering Services Joint Stock Company (AESC) regarding the survey of bidding options to select investors to implement the Project of investing in the construction of an aircraft maintenance area and providing aircraft maintenance services at Long Thanh International Airport, phase 1.
According to the Long Thanh International Airport Planning approved by the Prime Minister and the Ministry of Transport , in phase 1, 4 hangars will be invested in and put into operation on land lot E01 with an area of 182,029 m2.
Based on the contents approved by competent authorities regarding hangars at Long Thanh International Airport Phase 1, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has studied 5 investment options (models) to build 4 hangars on land lot E01.
Based on 5 investment options (models) to build 4 hangars on land lot E01, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam requests investors to propose options (options outside of the 5 options can be proposed, but must ensure the goal of phase 1 of investing in building and putting into operation 4 hangars on land lot E01).
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam said that, based on the plan proposed and selected by the investor, the investors provide specific information such as: scale, capacity, aircraft maintenance capacity at a time; maintenance scope; expected maintenance rating; expected investment capital; hangar construction investment time; investment efficiency assessment criteria (expected revenue; profit; payback period, etc.); investor participation capacity, etc.
Currently, the Project to invest in building an aircraft maintenance area and providing aircraft maintenance services at Long Thanh International Airport, phase 1, is urgently implementing procedures and processes to bid for investor selection.
“The bidding for the above Project requires the coordination and participation of investors right from the survey and information collection stages to ensure the bidding goals and progress as required to put into synchronous operation the Long Thanh International Airport Construction Investment Project Phase 1 in 2026,” said a representative of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam.
5 investment options for building 4 hangars on plot E01
Option 1: Land E-01 is divided into 4 projects, each project has 1 hangar (120m x 100m) on an area of about 45,500 m2;
Option 2: E-01 land is divided into 2 projects, each project has 2 hangars (176m x 92m and 145m x 92m) on an area of about 91,000 m2;
Option 3: Land E-01 is divided into 3 projects including: Project 1 has 2 hangars (176m x 92m and 145m x 92m) on an area of 91,000 m2, Project 2 and 3 (each project has 1 hangar 120m x 100m) on an area of 45,500 m2;
Option 4: Land E-01 is divided into 2 projects including: Project 1 has 3 hangars (176m x 92m) on an area of 136,500m2, Project 2 has 1 hangar (120m x 100m) on an area of 45,500 m2;
Option 5: Land E-01 has only 1 project, the project has 4 hangars (176m x 92m) on an area of 182,000 m2.
