The 483rd anniversary of the death of Thai To Mac Dang Dung took place from September 23-25 at the historical site of the Mac Dynasty Memorial Site.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the occasion of the 483rd anniversary of the death of the founder Mac Dang Dung (August 22, Tan Suu year 1541 - August 22, Giap Thin year 2024), from September 23-25 (ie August 21, 22, Giap Thin year), Kien Thuy district organized a memorial ceremony to commemorate the 483rd anniversary of the death of the founder Mac Dang Dung at the historical site of the Mac Dynasty Memorial Site, Ngu Doan commune, Kien Thuy district, Hai Phong city.

However, due to the impact of Storm No. 3, the 483rd anniversary of the death of the founder Mac Dang Dung only held a memorial ceremony and incense offering ceremony; cultural and artistic activities were not organized according to the previous plan.

The specific ceremony times are as follows:

September 23, 2024 (August 21, year of the Dragon): Incense offering ceremony of agencies, units, localities, tourists, and families.

September 24, 2024 (August 22, year of the Dragon):

+ From 8:00 a.m.: Memorial service;

+ From 9:00 a.m.: Prayer ceremony for the deceased, national peace and prosperity; death anniversary; military memorial service;

+ From 10:00 a.m.: Delegations offer gifts to the King;

+ From 2:00 p.m.: Incense offering ceremony by agencies, units, localities, tourists, and families;

+ From 5:00 p.m.: Receiving blessings.

The funeral will be held at 3:00 p.m. on September 25, 2024 (August 23, the year of the Dragon).

This is a cultural activity to review the life and career, and at the same time affirm the merits and honor the great contributions of the founder Mac Dang Dung, the Mac Dynasty and the entire nation in the process of building and defending the country. Through the commemorative activities, it contributes to propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism, love for the homeland, national pride for generations, raising awareness of heritage protection in the community.
