As the person who came up with the idea of organizing the Bach Thien Hieu Vi Tien Festival over the years, Master Huyen Tich, the head of the Co Be Ngai Vang Temple, said: Held before the Hung King's death anniversary and in the third lunar month - the Mother Goddess Festival month of the Mother Goddess worship, the Bach Thien Hieu Vi Tien Festival is not only an opportunity to show gratitude to parents but also for everyone, especially the younger generation, to learn and understand more about the word "filial piety", about family values, love and sharing. The festival also helps connect the community, creating a warm and meaningful space, for everyone to remember their roots and cherish what they have.

According to Dr. Bui The Duc, Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Art, in Vietnamese culture, the word “filial piety” is considered the root of all morality. In the phrase “Hundred Good Deeds of Filial Piety”, “filial piety” comes first. The word “filial piety” is one of the most important traditional values of the East, especially in Vietnam. “Filial piety” is a symbol of love, gratitude and responsibility of each person towards their parents. Fulfilling the word “filial piety” is to preserve human morality, a traditional beauty that needs to be preserved and promoted forever.
The highlight of this year’s Bach Thien Hieu Vi Tien Festival is the ceremony to show gratitude to parents. Many people brought their parents to the Festival to express their respect, love and gratitude. At the Bach Thien Hieu Vi Tien Festival in previous years, the most touching moment was when the “door” was opened for parents to listen to their children speak from the heart, which they are often shy and reluctant to express in daily life.
In addition, coming to the Festival, participants can enjoy many performances honoring Vietnamese culture and history performed by singers: Anh Tho, Vu Thang Loi, Le Anh Dung... Among them, there are songs expressing the spirit of Vietnamese filial piety such as: Vietnamese filial piety, Bach Thien Hieu Vi Tien...

Not only limited to traditional rituals, the Festival also has meaningful activities such as organizing poetry and song writing competitions to honor filial figures in Vietnamese history. According to Master Huyen Tich, through the competition, it is expected that there will be more works about filial piety of Vietnamese people, thereby raising awareness of filial piety in modern society.
Participating in the Festival, History Professor Le Van Lan expressed his wish that the Festival would not only be held at this temple, not only for 3 years, but also be widely and sustainably spread to honor the value of filial piety.
Brought to attend the Bach Thien Hieu Vi Tien Festival by her daughter, Ms. Vu Thi Hoa, born in 1955, residing in Tay Ho district, Hanoi , shared: “Young people today are very busy, having this ceremony will help them arrange their work, spend more time thinking about their parents. I still teach my children to think about their family. Without family and roots, the connection in life will fade away” - Ms. Hoa expressed. She shared that she was very moved to come to the Festival and wished that the spirit of filial piety would be preserved and spread forever.
