Da Nang International Fireworks Festival: Brightening up with European colors

On the evening of June 21, the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2025 officially entered its fourth competition night, with the theme "Sustainable Development."

Thousands of locals and tourists came to the banks of the Han River to enjoy the night of the competition with the largest number of fireworks in the qualifying round between the two teams Portugal and the United Kingdom. The teams gave eye-catching performances, a subtle combination of modern pyrotechnic techniques and European culture.

With nearly 100 years of experience and reputation in Europe, the Macedos Pirotecnia team from Portugal heated up the competition night with a true "Rock concert".

The story begins with the fiery rhythm of “ Rock You Like A Hurricane ,” by the legendary rock band Scorpions. On the lyrics “Here I am,” fireworks explode, pounding. The entire audience joins in a frenzied concert with lights and electronic instruments and choirs.

In the next chapter, there is the melodious melody of " Love Vietnam " with birds of light flying in the sky, a series of "sunrise" effect fireworks spreading emotions carrying a profound message about love for nature and a green future.

The rest is a symphony of emotions as Lusitana Paixão, Rio Favo de Mel and even a piece from “ Lacrimosa ” (Mozart) are remixed, pushing the climax to a crescendo. Typical pyrotechnic effects such as comets, waterfalls of light, volcanic cannons… paint the sky one after another.

Macedos Pirotecnia really "burned" until the last minute, not only with his skillful performance techniques but also with his ability to convey the message: preserving the pristine beauty of Mother Nature, living in harmony and developing sustainably.

Captain of the fireworks team from Portugal, Andre Macedo, said that in the spirit of the theme "Sustainable Development," when designing the fireworks, the team used many types of recycled materials to preserve the ecosystem and limit machinery, protecting the environment. This is the first time the team has come to Da Nang, wanting to introduce the traditions and culture of Portugal.

Portugal's opponent in this competition night was the Pyrotex Fireworx team from the UK, whose performance was likened to a symphony of poetry and art called "Emotional Waves."

With about 8,000 individually designed fireworks, each chapter in the performance is a piece of music that leads viewers from gentle, romantic to exciting and sublime.

The opening is quiet, like a love song written in the depths of the ocean. But then it suddenly speeds up with a familiar cinematic soundtrack from the " 007 - James Bond" series, taking viewers into a world of dramatic action.

Immediately after that, the atmosphere turned cheerful and familiar with a series of Vietnamese songs such as " Forget me " (My Tam), " Noi nay co anh " (Son Tung M-TP) resounding, making the entire Vietnamese audience excited. The final part of the performance brought the audience back to timeless masterpieces: " Canto della terra," "Live and let die," "Dancing Queen," "Future world music " ... blended into a mesmerizing symphony of fireworks.

According to the captain of the fireworks team from the UK, Mark Kelsall, the team's performance focused a lot on leading the audience's emotions. To achieve that, the team chose songs that are very close to the Vietnamese people. This time, the team also brought the largest number of fireworks compared to previous years...

Along with the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, a series of exciting festivals and shows at famous destinations such as Ba Na, Da Nang Downtown, My Khe beach, Han River road...

In addition, the Enjoy Danang Festival 2025 from June 20-23 will help enhance the experience for tourists, promote economic development, and build the image of Danang - Asia's leading festival city and a "sleepless destination" at night./.
