From March 24-26 (February 15-17, Giap Thin year), Tay Thien Festival 2024 will be organized by Vinh Phuc province on a provincial scale.
Tay Thien Festival is the biggest festival in Vinh Phuc province. The festival takes place at Tay Thien scenic relic site, Dai Dinh town, Tam Dao district, with many unique cultural activities.

The festival is held annually to commemorate the Queen Mother Lang Thi Tieu, the Queen Consort of the 7th Hung Chieu King, who had great contributions in helping King Hung expand the territory, teach people to grow wet rice, recruit soldiers, and build the country.
The ceremony includes: the announcement ceremony, the palanquin procession, the festival opening ceremony, the incense offering ceremony at Thuong Pagoda; the incense offering ceremony at Thuong Temple and the traditional thanksgiving ceremony.
The festival part of Tay Thien Festival 2024 has many unique cultural events such as the Vinh Phuc province's Hat Van and Chau Van Festival associated with the practice of worshiping the Mother Goddess of Tay Thien; Hat Van and Chau Van performances at the Cong Quan house of Thuong Tay Thien Temple.
Tam Dao district organizes the festival of the San Diu people associated with the Tay Thien festival; performances reenacting some customs and practices of the San Diu ethnic group, performing Soong Co folk songs, and displaying ethnic minority costumes.

On this occasion, many cultural and sports activities were also organized such as the Vinh Phuc Provincial Volleyball Championship; Volleyball, Tug of War, and Chinese Chess Tournaments of communes and towns in Tam Dao district; Banh Chung and Banh Giay making contest in Tam Dao district; Cultural camps of communes and towns in Tam Dao district...
Tay Thien is known not only as the place where Buddhism originated very early, but also as the place where the Mother Goddess worship developed - Mother Goddess Tay Thien Lang Thi Tieu - the Queen of Hung Chieu Vuong the 7th. The intersection between Mother Goddess worship and Buddhism along with the complex of historical and cultural relics including the system of temples and pagodas has created a unique feature of Tay Thien, attracting many tourists from all over the world to come and worship.
