Vietnam - Japan Festival takes place in Da Nang from July 13

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam - Japan diplomatic relations (September 21, 1973 - September 21, 2023), from July 13 - 16, the Vietnam - Japan Festival 2023 will take place at East Sea Park, Da Nang city.

The event is organized by the Department of Foreign Affairs of the city in coordination with the Consulate General of Japan in Da Nang, and local authorities of Japan. The festival is accompanied by the Japan Business Association in Da Nang (JCCID), Acecook Vietnam Company, Vietnam Airlines , Mitsubishi Vietnam, N&V Bridge, Mikazuki, Kangaroo... The festival takes place with many cooperation and connection activities in various fields to enhance understanding and cultural exchange between Vietnam and Japan in general, deepening the friendly relationship between Da Nang and localities and partners in Japan in particular. Notably, the festival area will have 80 booths of domestic and foreign organizations and units including fields such as: Introducing Vietnamese - Japanese culture; cuisine with traditional dishes of the two countries; information on education, study abroad, tourism and trade; product display and trial activities; free sample distribution; gift distribution; discount shopping vouchers for visitors... Along with that, the art program takes place over 4 nights introducing the unique cultural features of the two countries such as: Tuong art and Vietnamese traditional musical instruments, calligraphy, Japanese flower arrangement, traditional and contemporary dance and singing... In particular, two nights of Rock music with the participation of bands in Da Nang city and Japan will be the highlight of the Festival, conveying the message of youthful and vibrant connection in the trend of modern music exchange in the world. Besides, special activities such as: "Giant sushi roll" by Chef Tikoker Hoshi Phan; interact with actress, singer Akari, pianist Keiko Borjeson, calligrapher Sakamoto Koichi... On this occasion, the Japan Chamber of Commerce in Da Nang (JCCID) will organize an Artistic Lighting Space to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Japan from July 12 to 23, 2023 at the West Bank Park of Dragon Bridge. The large-scale lighting activity is designed according to three themes: Cherry Blossom Arch, Cherry Garden and Lotus Pond, creating a new and meaningful experience space for visitors.

Through its activities, the Festival contributes to bringing Japanese culture and arts to the city's residents and tourists; at the same time, introducing traditional values and modern beauty of Vietnam and Da Nang to Japanese friends; opening up cooperation opportunities between Da Nang and Japanese localities in many fields.

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place at 7:30 p.m. on July 13, 2023 at the East Sea Park Main Stage.
