BHG - On the morning of August 4, at the Xin Man (Vietnam) - Do Long (China) border gate pair, the Department of Transport of Ha Giang province (Vietnam) coordinated with the Department of Transport of Yunnan province (China) to organize the opening ceremony of two international road passenger and cargo transport routes between Vietnam and China, including: Ha Giang - Xin Man border gate (Vietnam) - Do Long border gate (China) - Van Son district and vice versa; Ha Giang - Thanh Thuy border gate (Vietnam) - Thien Bao border gate (China) - Van Son district and vice versa. The opening ceremony of two international passenger and freight road transport routes between Vietnam and China aims to expand cooperation, promote trade activities and facilitate businesses of both sides to participate in freight and passenger transport activities between the two countries. Along with that, soon organize the operation of the border gate pair and two new international road transport routes added by the two countries ' Ministries of Transport , signed on December 30, 2022. At the same time, implement the contents of the memorandum of understanding signed between Ha Giang province and the Zhuang Autonomous Region, Guangxi province and Yunnan province; the content of the minutes of talks between the Department of Transport of Ha Giang province (Vietnam) and the Department of Transport of Van Son prefecture (China) signed on May 10, 2023.

At the ceremony, leaders of the Department of Transport of Ha Giang province and the Department of Transport of Yunnan province affirmed: The international road transport route will fully promote the advantages of transport and tourism between the two countries, shorten the time of goods circulation, promote cooperation in the fields of trade and logistics. Thereby, contributing to building the friendship and comprehensive strategic cooperation between Vietnam and China to develop more and more sustainably; promote socio-economic development, cultural exchange between Ha Giang and Yunnan provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Director of the Department of Transport Nguyen Thu Thuy emphasized: The opening of two international passenger and freight road transport routes will meet the needs of people on both sides visiting relatives and working across the border; facilitate the transport of goods, contributing to promoting economic, trade and tourism development of both sides. To participate in the exploitation of these two passenger and freight transport routes, the Department of Transport of Ha Giang province will select experienced transport units and vehicles that ensure technical safety conditions to meet the requirements of international passenger and freight road transport between the two sides.

In the coming time, the local authorities and relevant agencies of both sides will continue to promote cooperation in joint supervision, always considering the safety of the people as the top priority, and jointly maintain order in the transportation market. At the same time, efforts will be made to create favorable conditions for further cooperation, contributing to promoting the mutual development of both sides.
