Vietnam Women's National Team Final Match Schedule
The Vietnamese women's team is cruising towards their 5th consecutive SEA Games gold medal. In the semi-final match against Indonesia at 4 PM today (December 14th), coach Mai Duc Chung's players secured a resounding 5-0 victory thanks to goals from Bich Thuy (28', 80'), Hai Yen (49', 58'), and Huynh Nhu (86'). The challenging group stage schedule is now behind them, paving the way for an easier final.
Thanks to this, the Vietnamese women's team continued to reach the final, a habit they have maintained at the SEA Games for over a decade.
After the match, the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) congratulated the Vietnamese women's national team and awarded them 500 million VND for reaching the final.

The decisive match for the gold medal for the Vietnamese women's team will take place at 7:30 PM on December 17th. Huỳnh Như and her teammates will face the winner of the other semi-final match between host nation Thailand and the Philippines. The bronze medal match of the SEA Games 33 will take place at 3:30 PM on December 14th.
The Vietnamese women's team, having reached the SEA Games final, will carefully study their opponents, regardless of whether it's Thailand or the Philippines.

Bich Thuy's penalty goal opened the scoring.
Regardless of who they face in the SEA Games 33 final, the Vietnamese women's team has a strong chance of defending their title. Coach Mai Duc Chung's team is playing better and better, having defeated Malaysia (7-0), Myanmar (2-0), Indonesia (5-0), and only losing in an unlucky match against the Philippines (0-1) in the second round of the group stage. Despite missing several key players such as Chuong Thi Kieu, Nguyen Thi Van, and Duong Thi Van, Coach Mai Duc Chung has still built a skillful and harmonious team, combining experience and youth, with an increasingly formidable passing game and excellent coordination between the lines.
The Vietnamese women's team has won all three of their most recent SEA Games finals, against Thailand (both 1-0 in the 2019 and 2022 finals) and Myanmar (2-0 in 2023), scoring 4 goals and conceding none.
At the 29th SEA Games (2017), the Vietnamese women's team also won the gold medal, but that was when the tournament was played in a round-robin format, with the top team in each group receiving the gold medal, and there was no final match.
