The goal of coach Mai Duc Chung and his team is certainly to win the top spot in Group E, to get a ticket to the biggest playground in Asia for women. To prepare for the Asian qualifiers, the Vietnamese women's team has begun gathering in Hanoi since the beginning of May (with full squad numbers since the end of May). Not only practicing, the Vietnamese girls also played friendly matches with the strong German team - Werder Bremen, trained and competed with clubs in Japan. The Vietnamese women's team has the advantage of playing at home in Viet Tri. After finishing a valuable training trip in Japan, coach Mai Duc Chung and his students arrived in Phu Tho a few days ago. The current squad of the Vietnamese women's team still includes a squad of experienced players who have brought many achievements to Vietnamese football such as striker Huynh Nhu, midfielder Bich Thuy, defender Chuong Thi Kieu, goalkeeper Tran Thi Kim Thanh... Some young players with good skills such as Ngoc Minh Chuyen, Nguyen Thi Kim Yen, Ho Thi Thanh Thao are also given opportunities. In addition, the appearance of Vietnamese-Canadian player Nguyen Hoang Nam Mi is also worth waiting for, promising to create many new features in the playing style of the Vietnamese women's team this time.
The good news is that the 2025 Asian Women's Cup qualifiers, including matches of the Vietnamese women's team, will be broadcast exclusively on FPT Play.
