The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa - General Director ofFPT Group, Chairman of LAEP, Mr. Vu Anh Tu - Chief Technology Officer of FPT Group, Director of FPT UAV, and the leadership of JUIDA. Accordingly, the cooperation agreement between the two parties focuses on three main pillars:

Firstly, LAEP and JUIDA will collaborate to share experiences in building institutions, legal frameworks, and international standards for the field of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and intelligent transportation, with LAEP hoping to learn from the management and operational models that have been effectively implemented in Japan.

Secondly, we need to promote business connections, creating conditions for businesses from both countries to interact, seek business cooperation opportunities, develop products, and expand markets.

Thirdly, the two sides will cooperate in training and developing human resources, especially in the areas of UAV operation and coordination, new technologies, and management according to international standards, thereby transferring experience and systematic training processes from Japan to Vietnam.

Speaking at the event, LAEP representative and Chairman Nguyen Van Khoa emphasized the desire for both sides to strengthen information exchange and mutual support in building a legal framework and standards for the UAV industry in Vietnam, while also promoting connections between Vietnamese technology companies and Japanese partners.

He argued that Vietnam has a significant advantage in its young, dynamic workforce, which can quickly adapt to new technologies, while Japan has strengths in standards, processes, and practical implementation experience. This combination will contribute to enhancing national competitiveness, promoting a new generation transportation ecosystem, and deepening Vietnam-Japan technological cooperation in the future.

JUIDA's representative, President Shinji Suzuki, stated that the association, established in 2014, is one of the pioneering organizations in UAVs and drones in Japan. JUIDA has been deeply involved in the development of institutional frameworks, standards, and operational guidelines for drones, and has also developed a network of over 200 training schools in Japan and other regions.

The association also plays a crucial role in training human resources for UAV operation, organizing training programs and specialized exhibitions such as the annual Japan Drone Exhibition, attracting significant attention from the international technology community.

To date, JUIDA has signed more than 44 memoranda of cooperation with partners in many countries, contributing to promoting international standardization, including ISO standards related to UAVs and next-generation logistics.

Earlier, on December 9th, LAEP welcomed a delegation from the JUAV Association in Vietnam. During the meeting, LAEP highly appreciated the achievements JUAV has made in over a decade of development, especially in training, industry promotion, and the development of safety standards for UAVs.

The two sides exchanged views on membership networks, educational programs, and international cooperation, while also discussing the potential applications of UAVs in urban development, logistics, agriculture , and human resource training.

The meeting laid the groundwork for further cooperation through workshops, business networking, and bilateral visits.

The Low Platform Economic Alliance (LAEP) officially launched in October, marking a significant milestone in Vietnam's progress on the global technology map… The alliance is chaired by Mr. Nguyen Van Khoa, CEO of FPT. The two Vice-Chairmen are Mr. Don Lam, founder and CEO of VinaCapital, and Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, CEO of the Vietnam UAV Network.

The LAEP Alliance was established with the goal of building Vietnam into a leading regional low-income economy, moving towards becoming a global low-income economic hub, and developing high-tech industries applying UAVs, unmanned aerial vehicles, smart devices, data, and automation.

The alliance expects this new economic model to boost thousands of supporting businesses, create 1 million high-quality jobs, and generate tens of billions of USD for Vietnam over the next 10-15 years. The alliance brings together leading technology, finance, startup, and expert corporations, all sharing the common goal of forming a key economic sector.
