Continuously reducing price up to 2 billion, Ford Mustang Mach-E still has no owner in Vietnam

(Dan Tri) - Compared to when it first arrived in Vietnam in 2022, the selling price of the Ford Mustang Mach-E has now dropped by 2 billion VND, even though it is a 100% new car.

Privately imported to Vietnam in early 2022, the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E SUV is "hailed" as a masterpiece, only for those who really know how to play. However, to date, this model still has not been able to find a "landing place".

It is known that the Vietnamese market has two Ford Mustang Mach-E. One is owned by a businessman in Ho Chi Minh City, the car in this article is the remaining one and is the GT version, manufactured in 2021.

After a long time without finding an owner, this Ford Mustang Mach-E has continuously decreased in price. From the initial price of 5.2 billion VND, the private dealer had to lower it to 4.5 billion VND, 3.7 billion VND, then 3.3 billion VND and now 3.099 billion VND, a decrease of more than 2 billion VND compared to the original selling price.

Experts explain that, in addition to stimulating demand and finding buyers, private dealers are forced to sharply reduce the price of the Ford Mustang Mach-E because by 2025, the car will have "dropped" 3 generations, making it difficult to maintain the original selling price. It can be seen that the unit distributing this car has suffered quite a "loss".

The main obstacle for the Ford Mustang Mach-E in Vietnam is the lack of widespread public charging infrastructure. Currently, only VinFast has developed a charging station system that covers almost the entire country, but the company has no intention of sharing it with other brands.

Some third parties have started to build charging stations, but the coverage is still limited and the charging cost is not cheap. Therefore, the Ford Mustang Mach-E can only be considered a "play car", not suitable for those who need to use the car regularly, although the car can travel up to 434km after each full charge, thanks to the 88kWh battery.

Despite being an electric vehicle, the Ford Mustang Mach-E has a rather aggressive appearance with the highlight being the 20-inch alloy wheels, inside are high-performance Brembo brake calipers with large disc brakes. The vehicle has 2 electric motors located on the front and rear axles, generating a maximum capacity of 480 horsepower and a maximum torque of up to 860Nm.

According to the manufacturer's announcement, the Ford Mustang Mach-E can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.7 seconds.
