During the month, the operations of seafood processing factories, factories in the gas - electricity - fertilizer cluster, wind power plants and customers installing rooftop solar power operated quite stably. 14 wind power projects have been approved for investment with a total capacity of 800MW; to date, 06 projects have been put into commercial operation with a total capacity of 225MW. The industrial production index in April increased by 4.7% over the previous month, by 15.9% over the same period; cumulatively increased by 6.7% over the same period.

Key industrial products: April's shrimp processing output is estimated at 21,071 tons, with a cumulative output of 70,913 tons, reaching 32.2% of the plan and increasing by 8.1% compared to the same period last year; commercial gas output is estimated at 165 million m3, with a cumulative output of 610 million m3, reaching 33.9% of the plan and remaining similar to the same period last year; electricity production is estimated at 649 million kWh, with a cumulative output of 2,335 million kWh, reaching 35.9% of the plan and remaining similar to the same period last year; commercial electricity output is estimated at 175 million kWh, with a cumulative output of 636 million kWh, reaching 31% of the plan and decreasing by 3.3% compared to the same period last year. LPG - Condensate production is estimated at 12,960 tons, with a cumulative total of 52,545 tons, equivalent to 37.5% of the plan, an increase of 7.2% compared to the same period last year; fertilizer production is estimated at 116,648 tons, with a cumulative total of 456,479 tons, equivalent to 40% of the plan, an increase of 5.8% compared to the same period last year.

Cumulative commercial electricity output in the first four months of 2025 decreased compared to the same period last year due to low load demand in the early months of the year; according to forecasts from the National Center for Meteorological and Hydrological Forecasting (Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Ministry of Agriculture and Environment ), it is likely that the heatwave in 2025 will not be as intense and prolonged as in 2024. In April, the intensity of the heatwave will be less severe than in the same period of 2024, so the demand for household electricity consumption will decrease compared to the same period.

Total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in April were estimated at VND 10,164 billion; cumulative sales were estimated at VND 39,077 billion, equivalent to 32.6% of the plan, an increase of 15.4% compared to the same period last year.

Export turnover in April is estimated at US$110.7 million, with a cumulative total of US$406.1 million, reaching 30.1% of the plan and increasing by 7.3% compared to the same period last year. Of this, seafood exports are estimated at US$94.2 million, with a cumulative total of US$330.3 million, reaching 27.8% of the plan and increasing by 4.6% compared to the same period last year; fertilizer exports are estimated at US$14.4 million, with a cumulative total of US$67.3 million, reaching 48.1% of the plan and increasing by 13.4% compared to the same period last year. Export turnover in April is estimated to have decreased by 1.59% compared to the previous month due to the impact of the ongoing and complex global trade war, tariff policies, and the rising price of gold both domestically and internationally, which have significantly affected the production, business, and export activities of enterprises.
