Loc Troi accelerates innovation, creating green agricultural value chains from Mini Expo 2025

(Chinhphu.vn) - From October 28-30, Loc Troi Group organized Mini Expo 2025 with the theme "From technology to practice - Comprehensive farming solutions for crops". The event gathered nearly 1,000 delegates representing agencies, research institutes, scientists, businesses, along with agricultural extension forces and key farmers in the Mekong Delta region.

Recreating a sustainable agricultural ecosystem.

Accordingly, Mini Expo 2025 is not only a place to showcase Loc Troi's ecosystem of agricultural products and solutions, but also demonstrates a strong commitment to pioneering the implementation of Resolution 57 of the Politburo on science and technology, innovation, and digital transformation in agriculture.

With the message "From technology to practice," the event recreated Loc Troi's comprehensive agricultural ecosystem through 7 thematic demonstration farms, encompassing the entire value chain: from research on plant varieties, fertilizers, pesticides to high-quality commercial rice.

After more than three decades of partnering with Vietnamese farmers, Loc Troi has built a closed-loop value chain, not only supplying input materials but also transferring complete farming solutions, helping farmers increase productivity, reduce costs, decrease greenhouse gas emissions, and increase sustainable profits.

The workshop focused on evaluating "Comprehensive rice farming solutions towards sustainable development and emission reduction by Loc Troi Group"; the effectiveness of safe pest control solutions in sustainable rice farming; the JAPO 3-season rice variety - potential and prospects; and listening to shared experiences and effective sustainable rice farming and emission reduction practices in the Mekong Delta region.

At demonstration farms, businesses showcase organic and biological farming models, smart crop care technologies, and practical applications of products aimed at improving soil health, protecting the environment, and stabilizing agricultural product output.

Associate Professor Dr. Le Quoc Thanh, Director of the National Agricultural Extension Center, highly appreciated the specialized workshop on sustainable rice cultivation - reducing emissions, along with the collaborative program between grassroots agricultural extension forces and the technical team of Loc Troi enterprise, contributing to building raw material areas according to the Project of 1 million hectares of high-quality rice associated with low emissions, aiming for Net Zero 2050. This is a step demonstrating Loc Troi's pioneering role in ensuring national food security, accompanying farmers and elevating the status of Vietnamese rice on the international stage.

Supporting the strategy of cultivating 1 million hectares of high-quality rice.

One of the highlights of this year's Mini Expo is a series of thematic workshops on sustainable rice farming, emission reduction, and raw material area development linked to the Project for 1 million hectares of high-quality, low-emission rice, aiming for the Net Zero 2050 goal.

Through the collaboration between local agricultural extension services and the company's technical team, Loc Troi is demonstrating its leading role in ensuring national food security and elevating the status of Vietnamese rice in the international market.

According to the group's representative, organizing Mini Expo 2025 not only creates a forum for in-depth exchange between scientists and farmers, but also connects the production-processing-consumption chain, contributing to solving the long-standing problem of "bumper harvest, low prices" in Vietnamese agriculture.

Within the framework of the event, Loc Troi signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the supply and distribution of next-generation plant protection and care products, serving emission-reduction farming models. This is an important milestone demonstrating its commitment to investing in green agriculture and transferring modern technology.

Leading the trend in mechanization and innovation.

Not only is Loc Troi a leader in seed research, but it also continuously applies high technology and expands international cooperation. A notable milestone is its partnership with New Green Group (Japan) to test the Aigamo robot, a device that assists in controlling weeds and golden apple snails, while simultaneously reducing greenhouse gas emissions from the very beginning of the growing season.

Simultaneously, the corporation continues to breed new, high-quality rice varieties, notably the proprietary Japo 3 Mùa rice variety, which was granted patent protection in 2024 and approved for circulation in the Southeast region, with plans to expand to the Mekong Delta in 2025.

These initiatives affirm Loc Troi's research, development, and practical application capabilities, linking the laboratory to the field, and science to business.

According to Mr. Huynh Van Thon, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Loc Troi Group, Resolution 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo is not only a guiding principle, but also an affirmation that the path Loc Troi has chosen and is following is on the right track.
