
According to the Ministry of Industry and Trade , Vietnam's e-commerce is currently forecast to reach a scale of 50 billion USD by 2025, accounting for about 10% of the total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue nationwide. In that context, enterprises mastering the e-commerce operation process is considered a decisive factor for sustainable development.
At the dialogue session "Self-operating e-commerce - From leadership thinking to a combat team", held on the afternoon of October 28, Ms. Pham Ngoc Thanh Phuong, Head of Thu Duc Branch, Head of the program's organizing committee emphasized: "Self-operating e-commerce is not only about applying technology but also about mastering internal resources - data - the future. Enterprises need to change their leadership thinking, build a team in charge of content, data, advertising and livestream that is well-trained".
Ms. Phuong also recommended that businesses take advantage of AI platforms, comply with legal regulations and develop an ecosystem linking businesses - platforms - training.

Answering the question “How to livestream to sell effectively?”, Mr. Le Tri Thong, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, said that businesses need to understand the characteristics of each platform to choose the right products, scripts and KOLs/KOCs. “The people who operate and the brand story are the factors that retain customers,” Mr. Thong emphasized.
From a training perspective, Ms. Pham Thu Phuong Thao Vi, Training Director of Tri Tam Academy, said: “To livestream effectively, you must determine the right goal: increase awareness or increase sales. Each industry and customer group needs its own content and a well-trained team, both internally and through open programs.”
Mr. Pham Tuan Hai, Deputy General Director of E2E E-commerce Company - KIDO Group recommends that businesses invest long-term, especially in the stage of building an online brand. Businesses should balance selling products with a profit margin of 50% or more to ensure cost-effective advertising and content production.
In his concluding remarks, Mr. Nguyen Tri Quang, Permanent Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Young Entrepreneurs Association, affirmed: “E-commerce is no longer the exclusive playground of large corporations. If small and medium-sized enterprises proactively grasp trends, invest in the right strategy and persistently operate, Vietnamese products can completely reach the global supply chain.”
