Tighten management of deviant statements and compositions among young artists

In response to the situation of some songs and statements of young artists showing deviant and offensive expressions on social networks, the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association requested to rectify the composing, performing and speaking activities of its members. This move aims to build a healthy musical environment, preserve good customs and traditions and guide the aesthetic orientation of the public, especially the youth.

The Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association has just issued an official dispatch to the Executive Board, the Executive Board of branches and members, requesting to strengthen orientation and rectify musical activities that show signs of cultural deviation. At the same time, the Association requires strict management of artists' statements on social networking platforms, especially those who have great influence on young audiences.

In addition, based on the direction of the Propaganda Department and the Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (according to official dispatches No. 69-CV/BTGDVTU dated October 24, 2025 and 76-CV/BTGDVTU dated October 25, 2025), the Music Association has requested its members to uphold their professional responsibilities, compose and perform with a spirit of respect for the audience and the profession. According to the Association, music must aim for beauty, goodness, nurture humanistic emotions, and contribute to building Vietnamese people in the new era.

A representative of the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association said that each musical work needs to be composed “with heart”, carrying a positive message and humanistic values. Artists not only spread inspiration through their works but also through their behavior and cultural and legal statements on social networks. Artists must put the interests of the community and social responsibility first.

Artists need to perform and create towards the beauty and customs of Vietnam.

In the coming time, the Ho Chi Minh City Music Association will organize many specialized topics such as "Good melodies, beautiful lyrics", "Culture in composing to build Vietnamese people in the new era" and " Educating listeners". These programs aim to help the public clearly distinguish between true artistic values ​​and products that are showy and deviate from aesthetic standards.

At the same time, the Association will increase exchanges and provide creative orientation for young artists and freelance artists, while promptly reminding and handling cases of statements or actions that affect the reputation of the organization and the cultural and artistic environment of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, recently a number of young singers have released or performed songs with offensive and vulgar language, promoting deviant lifestyles, negatively affecting young people. The case of singer Jack and his songs Su Nghiep Chuong, Mien Mong Mi, Keo, Cao Oc 20, Trinh, Em Iu are cited as typical examples of cultural deviation, tarnishing the artist's image in the eyes of the public.

The rectification of composing, performing and speaking activities is considered a necessary step to build a healthy musical environment, protect the truth, goodness and beauty values ​​of Vietnamese art, and at the same time affirm the social responsibility of artists in the digital age.
