On the evening of October 28th, the People's Committee of Phan Son commune, Lam Dong province, mobilized police and military forces to coordinate with the construction unit to address the landslide on National Highway 28B.
The landslide occurred in Doc Da village. Heavy and prolonged rainfall caused a large amount of soil and rocks to slide down from the mountain onto the road under construction, blocking both lanes.
After nearly an hour of urgent work, the landslide was basically cleared, and traffic resumed in both directions.
According to forecasts from the National Center for Hydrometeorology, heavy rain is expected to continue in the area over the next few days, and the risk of landslides will remain complex.
Local authorities advise people to drive through elevated sections of road with increased vigilance to ensure safety.
Earlier on the afternoon of October 27th, a landslide also occurred on National Highway 28B, specifically the section passing through Dai Ninh Pass, due to heavy rain. Construction units completed the repairs overnight.
