Prime Minister successfully concludes working trip to attend 47th ASEAN Summit and related Summits

According to the special correspondent of the Vietnam News Agency, on the evening of October 28, the plane carrying Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at Noi Bai International Airport, Hanoi, successfully concluding the working trip to attend the 47th ASEAN Summit and related Summits from October 26-28 at the invitation of Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim.

During his three days in Kuala Lumpur, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh had a packed schedule with nearly 50 multilateral and bilateral activities, including attending ASEAN conferences and events, ASEAN meetings with partners, and bilateral meetings with most ASEAN leaders, as well as ASEAN partner countries and international organizations attending the Conference.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's participation and practical contributions at the 47th ASEAN Summit and related summits demonstrate the strategic importance of ASEAN in Vietnam's foreign policy; it continues to convey a strong message about Vietnam's proactive and responsible participation and contributions alongside member states in building a united, resilient, inclusive, and sustainable ASEAN Community; while maintaining and strengthening ASEAN's central role and promoting its responsible voice for peace , stability, and development in the region and the world.

In particular, on this occasion, through bilateral contacts between Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and leaders of various countries and organizations, both sides agreed on new directions for cooperation, meeting the requirements of both sides in the new development phase and in new fields.

The results of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's working visit continue to effectively implement the foreign policy guidelines of the 13th National Party Congress, the Politburo's Conclusion 59-KL/TW on the orientation for participation in ASEAN until 2030, the Secretariat's Directive 25-CT/TW on strengthening and elevating multilateral diplomacy until 2030, and the Politburo's Resolution 59-NQ/TW on international integration in the new situation.
