Accordingly, at around 8:00 p.m. the same day, a tanker carrying liquefied gas arrived at the area between Lac Dac station and the gate of Pho Noi A Industrial Park. Due to the driver's lack of observation, the fuel tank of the vehicle got stuck in the height-limit barrier across the road. Then, the tanker exploded, the surrounding ground shook. Liquefied gas and dust flew dozens of meters away, catching fire. Many passersby were frightened, some motorcyclists were startled and fell onto the road.

Hung Yen Province Fire Prevention and Fighting Force quickly dispatched many fire trucks and officers and soldiers to the scene to control the fire. The fire area was cordoned off by the authorities, prohibiting people and workers from approaching due to the risk of spreading explosion.

The incident caused the tanker truck to catch fire and be severely damaged; the driver was taken to the hospital by authorities for emergency treatment.

Currently, Hung Yen province authorities are investigating and clarifying the cause of the incident.
