Long Dien changes from advanced new rural area

(CPV) - Long Dien District (Ba Ria-Vung Tau Province) is one of two districts recognized by the Prime Minister as an advanced new rural district. With focused and right-directed investment, the appearance of Long Dien rural communes is increasingly spacious and clean.

Building new rural areas helps improve people's lives.

Identifying and building new rural areas has a particularly important strategic position in the cause of agricultural, farmer and rural development. Therefore, Long Dien district has mobilized maximum and reasonable resources to serve the development of economic and social infrastructure, investment in education, health and cultural activities, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of the people, towards building new rural areas associated with urbanization.

Long Dien district has 5/5 communes meeting the standards of advanced NTM communes; Long Dien and Long Hai towns meeting the standards of civilized urban areas; An Ngai and An Nhut communes have been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee as meeting the standards of model NTM districts. The district has been recognized by the Prime Minister as meeting the standards of advanced NTM districts. In the period of 2010-2023, the total capital mobilized for building NTM and advanced NTM in Long Dien district is more than 6,000 billion VND, of which the budget capital is more than 749 billion VND, the rest is capital from credit, enterprises and people's contributions.

The completion of the construction of an advanced NTM district has helped Long Dien district have a standard traffic infrastructure system, increasingly meeting the needs of daily life, production, entertainment, study and health care of the people. In 2023, the average income per capita will reach about 84.2 million VND/person; the rate of people participating in health insurance will reach 95.3%; the district will have no poor households according to national standards. The economic structure continues to shift towards reducing the proportion of agriculture and industry, increasing the proportion of services - tourism. From 2020 to 2023, the proportion of services - tourism will increase from 69.7% to 70.9%; the proportion of agriculture will decrease from 6.2% to 5.3%; the proportion of industry will decrease from 24.1% to 23.8% (excluding oil and gas).

The social security and order situation in the district continues to be maintained stable. The environmental landscape continues to receive investment attention, the green tree system on traffic routes and public areas is regularly cared for and renovated, contributing to building an increasingly green, clean and beautiful living space in the district./.
