MC Hai Linh tells the journey of growing up after loss in her first book

Hai Linh considers To Our Youth: Saigon in the Season of Wind Changes as a challenge in her journey to adulthood. The book was written by her for nearly 2 years, and its content revolves around the youthful journey of 4 characters, representing young people with different fates and stories of maturity, but the common point is that they all need to "overcome the storm" after family loss, career choices, internal struggles about gender, the story of being able to live authentically, first love...

MC Hai Linh's expectations

Sharing about her first novel, MC Hai Linh said: “I hope that when reading this novel, readers can see the narrative world of the characters. From there, they will gain more faith in their own journey, despite many difficulties and challenges. Everyone needs to overcome storms to grow. There is always a way for you to overcome, there is always someone to accompany you, or at least, do not let the faith in you leave you.”

From a talkative MC on stage, turning to writing brought many experiences and challenges to Hai Linh. She said that both fields use language to convey positive messages. With To Our Youth: Saigon in the Changing Winds , what Hai Linh is most passionate about is portraying the inner struggles of each character.

The female author shared: “I like the many contrasts I draw in the story, I like the internal battles of each character as they struggle to make decisions: choose love or family, stability or risk pursuing their passion. I always enjoy the world I create for each character. So there are no significant challenges. If there are, it comes from my own ambition. I don't want this to be a work to 'play around' in the literary world, I want this 'child' full of passion to be welcomed. I also have the ambition to be able to republish the first book right away, even though I know it is not easy for a new author."
