According to the report of the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Meo Vac district, 662 households in 6 communes were affected by hail, damaging more than 35,000 fibro cement roofing sheets, nearly 430,000 tiles and many other materials. In addition, 45 households in 2 communes had their barns damaged, killing 50 poultry. About 70 hectares of various crops, mainly corn, cucumbers, beans, squash and fruit trees, were damaged by 30-70%. A cultural work was also slightly affected. The total damage is estimated at about 3.53 billion VND.

After the natural disaster, the People's Committee of Meo Vac district directed communes and towns to mobilize local forces to help affected households overcome the consequences. At the same time, they continued to propagate to people to proactively tie down their houses and prevent natural disasters from the beginning of the season; regularly update and monitor the natural disaster situation on the loudspeaker system and mass media to promptly have response plans and minimize possible damage.
