Dragon Copilot is an AI assistant that combines the best features of Dragon Medical One (DMO) and DAX Copilot (DAX). It will be released in the US and Canada in May, and will then expand to the UK, Germany, France, and the Netherlands.

Dragon Medical One is a clinical note-taking tool that can generate complete and high-quality documentation using advanced speech recognition technology without the need for user voice training. Meanwhile, DAX Copilot is an AI-based medical note-taking application.

Dragon Copilot helps relieve the burden on clinicians

By combining the capabilities of both services, Dragon Copilot allows clinicians and healthcare professionals to easily create notes with multilingual support, personalized styles and formats. It also offers natural language dictation, voice memos, text editing, templates and AI prompts.

In addition, Dragon Copilot allows clinicians to search for medical information and access trusted resources. They can automate simple tasks such as note summaries, referral letters, and post-examination summaries with minimal effort. The product also integrates seamlessly with electronic health records, including Epic, making patient information easier to access.

“At Microsoft, we have long believed that AI has tremendous potential to reduce the administrative burden on clinicians, allowing them to focus on patient care,” said Joe Petro, Vice President of Microsoft Health & Life Sciences Platforms and Solutions. “With the launch of Dragon Copilot, we are introducing the first unified voice AI experience on the market, building on our proven track record of improving provider health and clinical outcomes for healthcare organizations and patients.”

Dragon Copilot will be available across multiple platforms, including a full-featured web application and native apps for mobile and desktop, and will be integrated into existing EHR (electronic health record) systems.
