Northern region has showers mixed with sunshine, Central region has hot places

Showers and thunderstorms continue to occur in many places in the North, interspersed with sunny days before the weekend turns hot. The Central region remains hot.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, last night and early this morning (June 5), the Viet Bac region, from Thanh Hoa to Hue and the Central Highlands, had some places with heavy to very heavy rain.

It is forecasted that today, scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue to occur in the Northwest and Viet Bac regions, from Thanh Hoa to Hue , with some places experiencing heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, some places experiencing over 70mm (rain concentrated in the morning, evening and night).

The North will still have showers and thunderstorms before turning sunny at the weekend.

The Central Highlands and the South have scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, locally over 70mm.

Thunderstorms may produce tornadoes, lightning, hail and strong gusts of wind. Localized heavy rains may cause flash floods on small rivers and streams, landslides on steep slopes and flooding in low-lying areas.

Weather nationwide on Thursday (June 5), Hanoi capital is cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Light wind. Lowest temperature 26-28 degrees. Highest temperature 31-33 degrees, some places over 33 degrees.

Northwest region: Cloudy, scattered showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain; sunny at noon. Light wind. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees, some places below 23 degrees. Highest temperature 30-33 degrees, some places above 33 degrees.

The Northeast region is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, with scattered showers and thunderstorms in some places, and heavy rain in some places. Light wind. Southwest wind level 2-3. Lowest temperature 20-23 degrees. Highest temperature 28-31 degrees, some places above 31 degrees.
