Mong Tuyen stopped at the 10m air rifle qualifying round at the Olympics

Vietnamese shooter Le Thi Mong Tuyen could not pass the qualifying round of the women's 10m air rifle shooting event at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On the afternoon of July 28, athlete Le Thi Mong Tuyen entered the competition in the women's 10m air rifle (shooting) at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This is the first time the 2004-born shooter has participated in the world's leading arena. In the first round of shooting, Mong Tuyen scored 102.6 points (an average of 10.258 points per shot), ranking 40th out of 52 participating athletes. In fact, the Vietnamese shooter could not maintain a stable performance after each shot. In the second round of shooting, Mong Tuyen, with a more stable competitive mentality, rose to 36th place with 103.9 points. However, she then dropped to 39th place after the third round of shooting with an average score of 102.7 points. In the 4th round, the 20-year-old shooter scored 103.4 points, still ranking 39th. At the end of the 5th and 6th rounds, Mong Tuyen tried hard but could not break through. She scored a total of 621.1 points (average 10.352 points/round), ranking 40th out of 52 athletes. This result could not help the Vietnamese female athlete win a ticket to the final round of the women's 10m air rifle event at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Accordingly, the 3 athletes with the best results in the qualifying round were Ban Hyo-jin (Korea) with 634.5 points; Duestad Hegg (Norway) with 633.2 points; Gogginat Audrey (Switzerland) with 632.6 points.
