A poor mountainous district established a scholarship fund of more than 1.7 billion VND.

According to the Department of Education and Training of Quan Son district, the Hoa Ban Scholarship Fund of the district is a social fund, operating not for profit, with a spirit of volunteerism to support and encourage the development of education and training, helping poor students in a timely manner to have more conditions and opportunities to continue going to school, realize their ambitions, and escape poverty.

This fund also aims to nurture and support talented people in various fields to have more conditions and motivation to develop their talents, and encourage talented people to contribute their efforts, intelligence and talents to the construction and development of Quan Son homeland.

From the 2024-2025 school year, the Hoa Ban Scholarship Fund will allocate funds to support disadvantaged students in the locality, so that no poor students have to drop out of school; award students and teachers whose students win prizes in national, provincial and district competitions.

It is known that Quan Son is one of the poor districts of Thanh Hoa province, nearly 150km from Thanh Hoa city, bordering Laos.

After nearly 30 years of establishment of the district, this is the first time Quan Son has established a fund to encourage learning and talent, with the support and contributions of the Thanh Hoa Provincial Association for the Promotion of Learning, businesses, officials, civil servants and public employees of the entire district with the total amount currently in the fund being more than 1.7 billion VND.
