The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Dien district mobilized resources to build Great Solidarity houses for the poor.

"Bridge" between the Party, State and People

As a "bridge" between the Party, the State and the People, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Dien district focuses on improving the quality and effectiveness of Party building and a clean and strong government; promoting propaganda, mobilizing and rallying people of all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws. At the same time, it will widely deploy patriotic emulation movements and campaigns, strengthening the close and close relationship between the People and the Party, the State and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels, creating an increasingly expanding bloc of great solidarity and social consensus.

Notably, the Fatherland Front at all levels has flexibly applied policies and solutions to arouse the will of self-reliance, self-improvement, the aspiration to rise up and build a prosperous and happy life, contributing to the successful implementation of the goals and tasks of local Party committees and authorities. Notably, the Fatherland Front at all levels has actively mobilized the People to respond to the policy of building advanced new rural districts, communes and villages, and model new rural areas. With the motto "The State and the People work together", the Front and organizations at all levels have mobilized the People to clear land, contribute money and working days to build public welfare works. Over the past 5 years, the People have donated 24,739m2 of land, over 15,000 trees of all kinds, 16,033 working days and over 66 billion VND in cash to build new rural areas.

In addition, promoting the results achieved in building new rural districts, the Fatherland Front and organizations at all levels have strengthened propaganda and mobilized people to unite in economic development, actively help each other to sustainably reduce poverty, improve living conditions, and encourage legitimate enrichment. Coordinate and effectively implement the Project on restructuring the agricultural sector towards linking value chains to increase added value and sustainable development; effectively implement the program "one commune, one product" associated with the restructuring of the rural economy, increase income and improve people's lives; mobilize people to promote the application of scientific and technological advances in production, more and more good business models have appeared, legitimately enriching families and society.

The work of mobilizing, helping the poor and implementing social security programs has been regularly carried out by the Front and its member organizations with the participation of the entire political system, the consensus and response of all classes of people, so it has brought about practical results. During the term, the two-level "For the Poor" fund mobilized more than 6.8 billion VND to support poor households and households in especially difficult circumstances to build and repair houses; support poor students to have conditions to go to school; poor households to have conditions for medical treatment; have more capital to invest in production development, contributing to helping 103/146 households escape poverty. At the same time, mobilized more than 13 billion VND to build 182 new houses, repair 219 houses; support social security beneficiaries with livelihood models, capital for production reconstruction.

The Residential Area Front Committee regularly mobilizes the people to continue to promote and improve the quality of the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life"; promote the self-management role of the residential community through the implementation of conventions and village regulations to improve the quality of building a cultural life. Up to now, the whole district has 92/94 villages, hamlets, and residential groups recognized as meeting cultural standards (reaching 97.87%), 95.5% of households are recognized as cultural families; cultural houses at the commune level, community activity houses, and village cultural houses cover 100%.

Promoting the strength of national solidarity

The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committees at all levels and member organizations have actively carried out tasks and solutions to promote democracy, represent and protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of the People in many diverse and practical forms; supervise and provide social criticism; participate in preventing and combating corruption and waste; participate in building a strong Party and government. Through supervision, they have recommended that the government consider and promptly remove obstacles and resolve existing problems and shortcomings that have caused public outrage. Most of the recommendations of the Front have been resolved and responded to reasonably by the government and competent agencies, creating consensus among the people.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Dien district Phan Canh Ngu affirmed: During the past term, the Fatherland Front from the district to the grassroots level in the district proactively developed, organized and effectively implemented plans and programs to coordinate and unify actions, closely coordinated with the government and member organizations to innovate content and appropriate mobilization methods, create consensus among the people, expand the great national unity bloc, and contribute to the successful implementation of the political tasks of the district Party Committee. Thanks to that, the people's lives have been constantly improved, with average income per capita increasing from 33.6 million VND/person in 2019 to 50.2 million VND/person in 2023; the poverty rate has decreased from 6.18% in 2019 to 1.7% in 2023.

With the spirit of "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", in the 2024 - 2029 term, the Fatherland Front at all levels of Quang Dien district continues to innovate the content and methods of operation, directing activities to the grassroots to ensure practicality and effectiveness; diversifying forms of propaganda, gathering people, mobilizing people to actively participate in campaigns and patriotic emulation movements. Strengthening social consensus, firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc, in order to successfully implement the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the Congress, contributing with the Party Committee and local authorities to build the district to develop comprehensively and sustainably and achieve the status of an advanced new-style rural district by 2025.
