Harry Maguire scored the decisive goal in the 2-1 win at Liverpool last weekend, while Mason Mount started from the start.

Preparing for the match against Brighton, coach Ruben Amorim revealed that both teams need to re-evaluate their fitness before kick-off.

"The squad is quite good. We have some doubts because Maguire and Mason Mount had minor injuries in training last week.

It's not too serious, but we need to consider it before the game. Apart from Lisandro Martinez, the rest of the players are ready.

I think it will be a tough game. Brighton are a really good team to watch. They are very good at building up play and strong in transition.

Brighton have also been good at set pieces this season. They are a really strong and complete team."

In the 2024/25 season, Brighton won both matches against MU in the Premier League. Their last three away matches at Old Trafford were also victorious.

Amorim added: "Brighton players believe in what they are doing, even under pressure. Therefore, I really admire coach Fabian Hurzeler.

We had a great weekend, but the focus now is on the Brighton game ."
