According to statistics from the independent box office website Box Office Vietnam, the revenue of Red Rain at 7:45 p.m. on September 5 was 500,692,554,062 VND. The film is currently ranked 2nd on the list of Vietnamese films with the highest revenue of all time, just behind Mai (551 billion).
However, the 500 billion VND milestone that Red Rain achieved is much more impressive, taking only 2 weeks to premiere while director Tran Thanh's film took about 3 weeks.
With the current growth momentum, it is likely that this weekend, Red Rain will surpass Mai 's revenue and set new records for Vietnamese cinema.
On September 5 alone, the film is still ranked number 1 on the daily revenue chart with more than 18.2 billion VND, far surpassing other competitors such as Getting Rich with Ghosts 2: Diamond War or the Vietnamese-Thai co-production, Ghost Bride, which officially hit theaters on September 5.
Red Rain is currently on an impressive journey with consecutive records set since its official premiere on August 22.

Previously, Box Office Vietnam said that Red Rain was the first film not directed by Tran Thanh to earn more than 40 billion VND/day. Previously, only Mai and The Four Guardians reached this impressive milestone, in which the highest record belonged to Mai (43.9 billion VND, set on February 14, 2024). However, by the evening of August 31, the film simultaneously set 2 records: the most popular film in Vietnam in 2025 (surpassing The Four Guardians ) and the film with the highest 1-day revenue in the history of the Vietnamese box office (47.6 billion VND).
Then, on September 1 and 2, the film set an even more impressive record, surpassing the milestone of more than 50 billion VND/day. Specifically, on September 1, the film reached a revenue of 54.8 billion VND while on September 2, the film also reached a revenue of 52.5 billion VND.
Notably, in the second official release week (from August 29 to 31), the film had more impressive revenue than the first week (from August 22 to 24) with a figure of more than 122 billion VND compared to nearly 82 billion VND.
Notably, according to Box Office Vietnam statistics, as of September 2, Hanoi is the market bringing in the highest revenue for the film, with more than 147 billion VND and more than 1.42 million tickets sold, reaching an occupancy rate of more than 72%.
Next is the Ho Chi Minh City market with more than 90.5 billion VND and nearly 890,000 tickets sold.

On the evening of September 4, at the yard of the Quang Tri Ancient Citadel relic site, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Quang Tri province coordinated with the People's Army Cinema to organize a screening of the film as a meaningful gratitude activity, attracting the participation of many local people.
According to plan, from September 5 to 7, the film crew will have promotional and exchange activities in Ho Chi Minh City.
