"Green summer" comes to Vi Tan ward

(CTO) - More than 20 students from the Faculty of Business Administration - Marketing and the Hau Giang Student Union (Nam Can Tho University) enthusiastically participated in summer volunteer activities in Vi Tan ward, Can Tho city.

From July 20 to July 26, students of Nam Can Tho University coordinated with Vi Tan Ward Youth Union to carry out many volunteer activities for the community. Typical activities include visiting and giving gifts to families with meritorious services to the revolution; journeying to the source and interacting with historical witnesses...

In addition, the young people also gave 50 gifts to disadvantaged students in the ward, with a total value of more than 20 million VND; organized English teaching for Khmer ethnic students; and promoted drowning prevention for children.

Young people burn incense to commemorate the heroes and martyrs at the memorial house of the Vi Thanh Town Party Committee Base Relic Site (in Vi Tan Ward, Can Tho City).

Vi Tan ward delegation and students visited and gave gifts to policy families in Hamlet 2.

Union members and students also supported the locality in implementing the youth project "Bright - green - clean - beautiful - safe route", with a total length of 2km and many activities such as clearing bushes, collecting waste, propagating and instructing people to classify waste at source.

Students volunteered to weed and clear bushes to create a green - clean - beautiful environment.

Responding to the movement "Digital education for the masses", the Youth Union members of Vi Tan ward coordinated with students of Nam Can Tho University to establish a volunteer team to propagate and guide people to digital transformation.

In addition, young people also went to people's homes and residential areas to directly support people in installing and registering accounts to use the National Public Service Portal to carry out administrative procedures online.
