I plan to go to Japan this fall and want to know the specific time when the leaves turn yellow and red in each region to plan a specific itinerary.
My family and I plan to travel to Japan in November. Every year I see a pretty detailed calendar about when the leaves turn yellow and red in cities in Japan, but this year I can't find it. Where can I find it?
Any readers please share so I can make a specific schedule. Thank you.

The Japan National Tourism Organization in Vietnam (JNTO) has just announced the time of appearance of yellow and red leaves in Japanese cities in autumn 2023 to serve tourists planning to travel. This forecast is based on information from the Japan Weather Association, but may change depending on weather conditions.

This year, autumn in Japan begins in late October and ends in mid-December. Accordingly, the changing color of leaves in each region is also different, depending on temperature, altitude and latitude. Hokkaido, Miyagi, Akita, Niigata are some of the provinces where the autumn leaves are forecasted to come later than last year. Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima, Fukuoka are the regions that welcome the red and yellow leaves right in the middle of autumn.
The peak season for yellow and red leaves in each area usually lasts from 2 weeks to a month, depending on the weather. Therefore, visitors should follow the calendar of each region to arrange a reasonable schedule.

According to JNTO, autumn is the best time to travel to Japan because the weather is "not too hot or too cold", convenient for all tourist activities. In addition, autumn also has many seasonal specialties or experiences of being immersed in nature for tourists to explore .
