
Heavy rains caused landslides and rockslides that collapsed the porch and kitchen of Mr. Dinh Quang Ngai 's house in Ngoc Len Residential Area, Tang Tong Village, Son Tay Thuong Commune. The landslides brought rocks and soil down behind the official building of Son Lien Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities. The school has organized the evacuation of students and teachers to a safe place.
Heavy rains also caused landslides on some roads in Son Tay Thuong commune. The commune's Civil Defense Command has put up signs and barricades to prevent people from passing through to ensure their lives and property.
In residential area No. 2, Phu Hoa village, Dong Tra Bong commune, the riverbank landslide extended nearly 200m, eating into people's production land about 50m. The landslide area is now only about 100m from people's houses, where 12 households with 21 people live. Local authorities have urgently put up warning ropes, prohibiting people from approaching the dangerous area. They have arranged forces to be on duty 24/7 to monitor the situation, ready to evacuate people if the situation becomes urgent. In Tay Tra Bong commune, in response to the heavy rain, local authorities have relocated and evacuated 80 households, 132 people in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to safe places.
