On the afternoon of October 13, the Departmentof Education and Training of Da Nang City issued an urgent dispatch to the Department of Education and Training of districts, towns, and educational institutions in the area.

Accordingly, the Department of Education and Training of Da Nang requested the Departments of Education and Training and schools to notify high school, middle school and primary school students who are not attending boarding schools in the city to stay home on the afternoon of October 13 due to some deeply flooded roads, making travel difficult and dangerous.

For boarding schools, preschool children and students still study in the afternoon. Schools are required to proactively arrange time and notify parents to pick up their children at the end of the day to ensure safety.

" In case the weather continues to be complicated and prolonged, the Department of Education and Training will issue another urgent notice for students to stay home from school to ensure safety ," the document stated.

According to the reporter, some roads in Da Nang are currently flooded locally such as: Chu Van An-Phan Chau Trinh intersection, Nguyen Van Linh, alley 356 Hoang Dieu... flooded from 30cm-50cm.

According to the announcement of the Central Central Hydrometeorological Station, in the past 24 hours, in Da Nang city there was heavy rain to very heavy rain, the total rainfall from 7:00 a.m. on October 12 to 7:00 a.m. on October 13 in Da Nang was commonly 50-130mm, higher in some places.

It is forecasted that from the morning of October 13 to the morning of October 15, the city will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain, and in some places very heavy rain and thunderstorms, with total rainfall ranging from 150-300mm, and in some places over 350mm.

Warning: From noon on October 15 to the end of October 17, the city is likely to continue to have moderate to heavy rain, with some places having very heavy rain, with total rainfall ranging from 100-250mm, and over 300mm in some places.
