Muong Nhe focuses on implementing economic development tasks

In the period of 2020 - 2023, in extremely difficult conditions due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the socio -economic infrastructure was not synchronized, some programs and projects were slow to implement; the lives of a part of the people still faced many difficulties, and their incomes were unstable. In 2023, the economy was opened in a new normal state, the Covid-19 pandemic was basically controlled, activities gradually returned, creating an important premise for economic and social recovery and development. Muong Nhe District Party Committee focused on leading, directing, promulgating and implementing many important policies and orientations, in line with the aspirations and needs of the people for socio-economic development, especially models of household economic development, cooperatives, strongly exploiting the potential advantages of the district. At the same time, focusing on implementing many solutions for development in the context of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, high consumer prices. Thanks to that, many important economic indicators of the district have grown quite well, increasing compared to the beginning of the term and annual targets such as: Food output, livestock, poultry, budget revenue, new job creation... The total production value in the area by the end of 2023 is estimated at 1,642 billion VND. The average income by the end of 2023 is estimated at 32,429 million VND/person/year. In the period of 2021 - 2023, new jobs will be created for 2,502 workers, an average of 834 workers/year. The economic structure of the district has shifted in a determined direction, gradually increasing the proportion of industry - construction, trade - services, gradually reducing the proportion of agriculture - forestry and fishery. The total area of harvested grain crops estimated to be implemented by 2023 is 6,385 hectares with a total grain food output estimated at over 18,332 tons. The estimated value of industrial and construction production at current prices by the end of 2023 is 615 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 9.4% in the 2021-2023 period. The total local budget revenue in 2022 is 762,376 billion VND, of which the local revenue is 13.6 billion VND, reaching 111% of the Congress target...

Along with that, Muong Nhe district has implemented an action plan to implement key tasks and solutions to improve the investment and business environment and enhance competitiveness in the district. A typical example is the organization of conferences to meet with businesses and production and business establishments in the district to receive, listen, remove difficulties and obstacles and find solutions to support businesses and investors in the district. At the same time, calling for, coordinating and creating conditions for organizations, individuals and units to visit and survey the actual conditions and locations to implement projects on tourism development and infrastructure, such as: The flagpole of the westernmost sovereignty of the Fatherland, the trade service center; developing medicinal plants, hydropower and biomass power projects, etc.

In the first half of the term, many models of production development associated with value chains and crop restructuring in Muong Nhe district were formed and initially achieved results. A typical example is the gradual conversion of crop structure from traditional, low-economic-efficiency crops to cinnamon, doi, green hemp, etc. Up to now, Muong Nhe has 14 cooperatives operating with 114 members. Of which, in the period of 2020 - 2023, 6 new cooperatives were established (1 Muong Nhe green hemp cooperative, 2 agricultural cooperatives, 2 cinnamon planting and processing service cooperatives, etc.). The "No land rest" movement launched by Muong Nhe District Party Committee has contributed to changing people's awareness in economic development. Along with the State's support programs, Muong Nhe farmers know how to increase crops on the same area, expand rice reclamation, and invest their own capital in planting long-term industrial crops such as cinnamon and doi. Thereby, contributing to poverty reduction for families, gradually developing the economy in a sustainable direction.

Many tourism development models associated with ethnic cultures have also gradually been formed. Muong Nhe district has issued projects and plans to implement tourism development associated with promoting cultural values, creating advantages for developing tourism models, such as: Community tourism, homestay, Muong Nhe natural landscapes, conquering the Border Junction - the westernmost point of the country A Pa Chai. The district also promotes cultural exchange activities, traditional festivals of ethnic communities and many other festivals to become annual activities, products, potentials, and advantages of the district to attract tourists. It is estimated that in the period of 2021 - 2023, Muong Nhe district has welcomed about 8,000 visitors to travel, visit relatives and work, with estimated revenue of 10 billion VND...
