On the morning of November 20, the People's Committee of Nam Da commune said that flooding occurred in the commune due to heavy rain from November 17 to November 20, 2025, combined with large water flow from Giang Son (Krong Ana river branch) and Buon Tua Shar hydropower plant spilling water downstream.
The total flow of the Krong No and Serepok rivers through the villages along the river in the commune has reached more than 2,200m3 /s, causing the river water level to rise, causing flooding in the villages of Ninh Giang, Binh Giang, Thanh Son and Cao Son.
According to initial statistics, the flood has affected some properties and crops of the people. Specifically, 10 houses and 1 gas station were flooded up to the foundation; more than 500 hectares of rice fields were flooded, however, there was no property damage because people had promptly harvested the rice. In addition, 1 hectare of coffee was flooded up to the roots and 0.5 hectares of crops were completely flooded.
Chairman of Nam Da Commune People's Committee Ngo Xuan Dong informed: Since the night of November 19, 2025, the Commune People's Committee has synchronously deployed response measures. The Commune has organized information and propaganda, continuously broadcast warnings on the loudspeaker system about the flood situation; 46 households in the flooded area along the Krong No River have been mobilized to proactively evacuate people and property to the flood shelter area in Cao Son village.
Authorities have mobilized and supported the evacuation of people and property from flooded households; prepared rescue vehicles to support people, and are ready to respond promptly when requested.
