Right from the beginning of the hot season, at the Hoang Thi Loan Tomb Relic Site in Nam Giang Commune, fire prevention work has been strictly implemented. With a total area of 48.2 hectares, including over 20 hectares of pine forest, this is a destination that attracts thousands of visitors every day, the risk of forest fire is very high if there is carelessness when using fire or throwing away cigarette butts.

In particular, over the past year, the cemetery has invested in an automatic irrigation system that extends nearly 1km from the foot of the grave to the top of the grave, to reduce the risk of fire. The water supply system for firefighting is taken from the Dao River through 6 pumping stations, ensuring supply to 5 large water tanks with a capacity of 60-100 m³.

In order to strengthen fire prevention at the Hoang Thi Loan tomb relic site, at the forest fire watchtower in Nam Giang commune, the forest rangers coordinated with the Nam Dan Special-Use Forest Management Board to organize 24/7 vigilance. Mr. Nguyen Binh Trong - an officer of the forest management board, said: "The watchtower is located on a tower over 10m high, helping to observe the entire Nam Giang pine forest and neighboring areas such as Nam Linh, Nam Anh, Nam Thanh, even covering a part of the forest in Hung Nguyen and Thanh Chuong districts".

Fire prevention has also been enhanced at other relic sites in the area, not only at the tomb of Mrs. Hoang Thi Loan. At Chung Mountain in Kim Lien Commune, the forest rangers have treated the undergrowth of over 70 hectares of forest. At the Mai King Temple relic site in Nam Dan Town, where there are nearly 200 hectares of pine forest, nearly 10 km of firebreaks have been maintained and repaired before the peak hot season.
