Meal of love and responsibility

Having worked at Trung Hoa Primary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities in Na Phac Commune for nearly 7 years, Ms. Lanh Thi Nong, the school's cook, has always considered cooking for students as her family's job. Each bunch of vegetables, each kilo of rice, each fish, and each piece of meat is carefully selected by her.

Cooking more than 60 meals by herself, Ms. Nong always works with all her heart, because to her, each meal is love and responsibility for her students.

Mrs. Nong shared: Food is guaranteed fresh, picked daily. I have been cooking for students here for 7 years, and I feel very happy every time the children enjoy their meals. Therefore, I always try to have the most thoughtful meals for them.

Currently, Trung Hoa Primary Boarding School has more than 60 students supported under Decree 66/ND-CP dated March 12, 2025 of the Government . Thanks to this policy, the students are guaranteed food, accommodation, and concentrated living conditions right at school, allowing them to study and practice with peace of mind.

The school has fully implemented the regulations on facilities, paying special attention to the quality of meals. From the selection of input food, kitchen organization, to the processing process, everything is closely monitored. The cooks are regularly trained, have certificates of eligibility to work in collective kitchens, ensuring food hygiene and safety.

Ms. Hoang Trieu Hoa, Principal of the School, said: We create a rotating menu every week and season, ensuring adequate nutrition and suitable for students' taste. All stages of processing and preservation are periodically and publicly inspected to give parents peace of mind.

Thanks to that, the lunch meals of Trung Hoa students are increasingly more diverse, just enough to satisfy, nutritious, and suitable for all students in the school. Ban Thi Thu Giang, a student in class 5A, shared: I like eating lunch at school because there are many delicious dishes, with soup, meat and vegetables. After eating, I can take a nap with my friends, which is very fun.

Contribute to improving the quality of education

From the policy of the Education sector, schools in the northern region of the province have continuously improved the eating, accommodation and living conditions for boarding and semi-boarding students. Na Ri Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, Na Ri commune, is one of the units that has done well in this work, with the quality of meals being increasingly improved, ensuring adequate nutrition, safety and suitability to students' taste.

The school currently has more than 270 students, 36 staff, teachers and employees. During the period 2021-2025, the school has implemented policies for students with a total amount of 22.5 billion VND. This is an important resource to help the school maintain a stable boarding model, improve learning and living conditions and care for the lives of students in mountainous areas.

Ms. Nong Thi Tuyet, Principal of Na Ri Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities, said: The school always identifies improving the quality of meals as a key task. All stages from receiving, preserving, processing food to organizing meals are strictly implemented, with regular supervision and inspection. We aim to not only eat well, stay well, but also eat delicious, nutritious and safe food.

From school kitchens, each meal, though simple, contains the heart and soul of teachers and those working in the feeding sector. These efforts not only help students have a full and safe meal, but also contribute to maintaining student numbers and improving the quality of education in disadvantaged areas.
